How do I spell check my text?

To add a spell check please follow these simple steps:

For Firefox: Firefox 2 and 3 now include built-in as-you-type spell checkers. The easiest way to get the spell checker is just to upgrade http://www.mozilla.com. To Turn it on you will need to follow these steps:

  1. Click Tools at the top of your browser
  2. Click Options
  3. Click Advanced
  4. Click General
  5. Select ’Check my spelling as I type’

Firefox will auto check your spelling. Misspelled words will have a red underline and you can right click on them to select the correct spelling. Firefox does not allow you to search a text field for misspellings though.

For Internet Explorer: ieSpell is a free Internet Explorer browser extension that spell checks text input boxes on a webpage. The program installs as a new button in the IE toolbar (as well as a new menu item under "Tools") - after filling in a form, just hit the ieSpell button and it pops up a dialog, similar to the MS Word spell check. Download fromHERE (1.96mb).

Note: ieSpell is a third party add-on to Microsoft Internet Explorer. Ubertor is not affiliated with ieSpell nor do we provide support for it. Additionally we’re not responsible for any problems that may (normally wouldn’t) arise from its installation or use.

Congratulations! You have added a spell cheker to your browser!
